An Important Message From Jeremy

Dear ~Contact.FirstName~,

We all have only so much time: seconds, minutes, hours, days, and months. We are already two months into the year.

Consider, isn't what we earn dependent on how well we use our time?

Are you making the best use of your time?

Are you spending your time in the wrong areas, doing the wrong things?

What can we do to help you?

Yours in success,
Jeremy Nason

What's The Quickest & Best Way To
Generate Life Insurance Leads?

There are several exciting and dynamic life insurance selling systems available today that will help you close more and larger life insurance sales. There's LEAP, Missed Fortune, Infinite Banking and Circle of Wealth, along with the various college funding, equity management and mortgage early-payoff sales systems. All of these systems may be fine ways for you to learn how to sell life insurance -- once you are in front of a prospect.

Regrettably, the vast majority of these systems are primarily just a sales system and not a real marketing or lead generation system. Yes, they'll give you one or two ways to generate leads -- like running ads in the newspaper, sending out postcards or buying leads from them -- however, the lead generation methods they use do not work for everyone throughout the country. And, they tend to be very expensive to implement. No matter how good their selling system is, if their lead generation method (s) don't put you in front of the right high-quality prospects -- every day -- the system is almost worthless.

It's the same with many of the career life insurance companies: They have some of the best life insurance products available in the industry and they provide you with good training on how to sell their products. Unfortunately, they do not have a good marketing system that consistently puts you in front of high quality prospects. Their idea of marketing (lead generation) is for you to do a "project 100" and try to sell policies to 100 or more of your family, closest friends and acquaintances. When you are done contacting those people -- and you've made a few sales -- you are supposed to have a ton of referrals to keep you going, however; it rarely works out that way for most people.

Now, I agree that there are a few people who will purchase one of these sales systems or join a career company and will have phenomenal success. But, as we all know, 85 percent of the agents and advisors in this industry are struggling to make a mediocre living.

Lew Nason Quote

But rest assured, it doesn't have to be that way for you.

So, how do you get off to the quickest start selling life insurance and keep it going?

While it would be nice if there were one or two marketing strategies (lead generation methods) that worked for everyone in every area in the country, everyone's situation is different. What works for one individual may not work as well for someone else. For example, some people have more money behind them for marketing, while others aren't as prepared. Some people are already well known and respected in their community or are active members in various civic groups. Some people are good speakers, love to talk in front of groups or have an outgoing personality. There are also people who are good on the phone and those who absolutely hate it.

Meanwhile, the same is true of marketing strategies. There are some parts of the country where newspaper ads, invitations or postcards work well, while other communities are already flooded with seminars or educational workshops. In some towns, you can hold educational workshops in libraries, others don't allow them at all. And, the worst part is: 'What works today may not work tomorrow!'

Brian Tracey Quote

If you want to get off to the quickest start possible selling life insurance and keep it going, then you must have several marketing systems available to you, with all the tips, tools and training you need to make these systems work for you. And, you'll need one more thing -- a coach.

The fact is, that it is very difficult for most people to determine and choose the best marketing method for their situation. There are too many variables and too many mistakes you can make. And, what if you waste a lot of your time and money choosing the wrong method or applying it incorrectly?

An experienced coach (not a recruiter, but someone who specializes in training) can help you to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and help you to determine what marketing program will work the best for you, both short-term and long-term, based on your situation and area. And, they can help you to fine-tune the process to minimize any costly mistakes.

We can all benefit from the outside perspective of someone watching our moves closely, especially if that person has the skills and years of experience in the activity that's being coached. A coach can provide you with the structure and accountability you need week after week to discover and fine-tune the best marketing (lead generation) methods to guarantee your short-term and long-term success.

That is why we include 3 months of one-on-one coaching with each of our specialized sales systems. It is why we have an 80% success rate with the agents we work with verses the industries 90% failure rate! It is also why the agents we work with are earning annual net incomes (incomes after expenses) of $100,000, $200,000 or more!

Note: The typical agent/advisor we work with, within a year, is working 40 hours or less per week and earning a net income of $150,000-$350,000 per year. They are working smarter, not harder! They are spending a lot less time and money on marketing, prospecting, and sales because they are now working with their IDEAL prospects and only need 3-5 new appointments per week.

Will you be our next success story?

Mastering Affluent Loyalty
In today’s world, loyal affluent clients are a financial advisor’s acre of diamonds. With the typical affluent client having multiple spheres of influence, a loyal client’s word of mouth has the potential to provide an ongoing stream of personal introductions and referrals for financial advisors. However, one of the more serious lingering consequences of the financial crisis is the damage done to the extremely fragile loyalty of affluent clients.

Back End Sales
Unfortunately, if you are like 95% of today's agents and advisors, you are leaving a lot of money on the table. You're overlooking one of the easiest and most profitable ways to significantly grow your business, short-term and long-term. But, don't feel bad, 95% of all business are missing this one too.

Building Client Loyalty
The key to building a business is loyalty, and the key to building loyalty is by earning client trust. Even experienced financial advisors are finding it difficult to attract new clients. More than usual, successful firms are growing their businesses by winning over investors who are dissatisfied with their current advisors.

Are you taking advantage of the FREE client newsletters in the Insurance Marketing and Sales Resource Center? If not, why not?

Remember... People buy when they are ready to buy, not when you are ready to sell. So, if you want them to call you when they are ready, then you must be constantly in front of them!

How To Become The Most 'Trusted Advisor'
In Your Local Community!

You Are Sitting On Acres Of Diamonds!

According to Peter Drucker (world's most influential business guru), you have a:

  • 1:14 chance of selling to a new prospect (7%)

  • 1:4 chance of selling to someone who has bought from you in the past (25%)

  • 1:2 chance of selling to a current client. (50%)

However, before you go out and bombard your current clients with sales calls, keep one key thing in mind: even existing clients aren’t necessarily qualified prospects for an additional purchase. Your current clients must still:

  1. Have a need for an additional product/service and be aware of it.

  2. Have the legitimate authority and ability to buy the additional product/service.

  3. Have a sense of urgency about making a buying decision.

  4. Trust you and your organization.

  5. Be willing listen to what you have to say.

In other words, you are sitting on acres of diamonds… but you’ve got to know where to dig!

P.S. Here is something to think about from I. David Cohen, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, RFC, of the Financial Services Institute, LTD, in Columbus, Ohio.

“In my last forty-five years as a life insurance salesman, financial planner, mentor, and teacher, I’ve witnessed tremendous changes in our profession. The most shocking is that fewer and fewer of us are surviving! Even less are thriving! Statistically, it is a proven fact that out of every one hundred sales representatives hired today, only one will be with us in four years! Will you be one of them?”

Consultative Selling: Use "Umbrella Questions"

Consultative selling is all about uncovering information from the client/prospect that they wouldn’t normally share with you. The more information they give you, the easier it will be for you to help them find the right solution for their situation, which will make it easier to close the sale.

One of the best ways to obtain that valuable information is by asking what we refer to as Umbrella Questions. These questions are designed to get the client or prospect to elaborate on issues important to them. Umbrella Questions can be used on every sales call because they work in any selling situation.

Examples of this type of questioning include:

  • “Can you explain that a little further?”

  • “Why is that important to you?”

  • “Can you tell me more about that?”

  • “How do you feel about that?”

John c. Maxwell Quote

Umbrella Questions are a useful tool to get the client/prospect talking more about what they’re really looking for and they show how much you care.

On your next sales call, challenge yourself to ask at least 5 of them. Once you start, you’ll find yourself being positioned as a solution-provider to your client/prospect. The solutions you can create should be rooted in the Umbrella Questions you asked.

One final note: make sure to keep very good records of everything the client or prospect shares with you. The information you gain on one call will help you develop even better questions for the next one.

How do you feel about what you just read?

Yours in success,
Jeremy Nason
