Use The Internet To Generate
Free Life Insurance Leads

Have you ever said to yourself: "I wish someone had told me that a long time ago?" If so, you know what it's like to discover something that radically changes your life in a split second.

And, if you're like most of the other agents out there, then you've tried all kinds of hair-brained, time-wasting and expensive methods to build your business.

I'm talking about things like buying dead-beat leads, cold-calling for hours on end, sending out oceans of emails or fax blasting (to angry people who don't want to hear from you), using the "3-foot" rule, making out your "Project 100" and hounding your family and friends, etc.

By the way, if you've ever had the 'pleasure' of cold-calling leads, you know how utterly brutal it is... you end up with a big ole' lump in your stomach, a bruised ego, wasted time, tons of disconnected numbers, and pissed off, negative people that are tired of listening to high pressure salespeople.

If any of this sounds familiar, it should because it's the same ‘out dated’ stuff that is being drilled into 90% of the people who enter this business. It’s why most of them are continually struggling, and why many of them are out of the business, within a year.

But, I'm here to tell you that there are much better, easier ways to build your business, once you take the time to discover the little-known strategies to generate your own free and low-cost life insurance leads.

Lew Nason Quote

So let me ask you... And please be honest!

Are you totally confused about what REALLY works to generate leads and sales, and don't know who to believe anymore?

Are you still using ‘old-school’ prospecting techniques like cold-calling leads, and continually getting rejected?

Frustrated with 'replicated' systems that don't work the way your managers, trainers and marketing companies said they would?

Still buying overpriced leads with little or no results to show for all your money and hard work?

There’s no question that the ‘old fashioned ways’ of prospecting in the life insurance industry are not working today for most agents. Most life insurance agents are still being taught to work their warm market, cold calling, purchasing a life insurance lead list, buying expensive internet leads and taking a significant cut in their commissions to get leads from your marketing company. To those of you who are still using these ‘out of date’ prospecting techniques… “It’s not your fault, someone sold you on it!”

Cold calling, using life insurance lead lists or using Internet leads and then doing a sales pitch over the phone just doesn’t cut it anymore. Most people are screening their calls, using their caller ID, and won’t even pick up the phone due to the tremendous amount of sales calls that they get from telemarketers about all sorts of junk. The so-called qualified lead that you paid for probably won’t even pickup the phone, let alone book an appointment with you.

Why It Isn’t Working?
Let's take a step back and look at what you are actually doing when you are buying leads. You are going to a third party that is talking to someone who has no idea who you are, and that third party is now telling you, that person is interested in what you have to offer. And, then, in many cases, that third party is going to sell that same “exclusive” lead to someone else.

The good news is there are better and more cost effective ways to get the life insurance leads you need and want. The best sales coaches will tell you that sales is not about selling your product, it’s about selling yourself.

Important Note: What Follows is about you making some small changes today, to make it your career much easier, more rewarding and much more profitable 3-6 months from now.

Consider, if you don't start making some changes right now,
where will you be 1 year from now?  In 2 years from now?

Is that where you want to be?

____________

It’s Time For You To Become An Information Resource!
Now, what if you were given the option to set yourself up as a point of valuable information, the go-to guy or gal where people get advice regularly about life insurance? It almost sounds like a dream doesn’t it? It doesn’t have to be.

With information being one of the major shifts the business world has experienced, the information super-highway (the Internet) can help to make your presence known in a much better, much quicker, and much cheaper way. If you're not on the internet, you're losing out big time! But if you are, your web site and e-mail address, which should appear in all your business literature, should be made available to everybody you come in contact with, even as part of your signature on any other form of correspondence. E-mail helps prospects to come forward in the privacy and convenience of their own homes or offices, and it also gives you a chance to respond to them immediately. It's truly a dynamic form of communication that, to this day, is still often overlooked.

If you haven't already, create a Web Site. Many people think that this is expensive, and it can be, if you want to actually sell on it. However, if you create a web site strictly as information-oriented resource identical to a book or newsletter, then it can be very affordable. Your homepage can be designed to advertise you, your company, and the products and services you offer. If you have a free report or newsletter you can provide access to it on your site. By having it available via the Internet, people can access your free information and print it themselves at home or at the office, without costing any money, time, or postage on your part.

However, don't make your free report available directly on your homepage. You’ll want to collect the names and email addresses of the people who want the free information, so you can contact them later. Have a special section of your web site that includes your free report, but it is only available to people who have a password. Or, once they sign-up for the report you can send them a link, so they can download it.

Dan Kennedy Quote

Once they read your report, they now have access to your super-useful information and feel part of an elite group of educated members. In essence, it's all part of a lead generating system, and you know what "system" stands for, don't you? It stands for... "Save Your Self Time, Effort, and Money!"

And, now you can create your own free websites by pointing and clicking. Take a look at ‘Facebook.’

Let’s take a step back and look at this for a second. Millions of people search the web for some answers to their problems. Their problem could be anything, literally. They may need a special tool, for their job and they need a price. Do they call a store, or do they go to Google and search for it? If you are looking for airline tickets, movie show times, or anything, where do you go! Well, why don’t you use the Internet to supercharge your business?

More and more individuals are turning their TV’s off, and are turning to the web. The reason is they are tired of being advertised to. Getting life insurance leads is not just about… Sell, Sell, Sell. It is about providing valuable information and establishing yourself as the individual who does not have a sales pitch, but rather someone who is out there to help others with their financial problems. Whenever you search the web, do you pay for the information you want, or do you continue to search for as much free information as you can get.

How to Get the Life Insurance Leads to Find You!
The way to get life insurance leads to find you… Is through "Attraction Marketing." In a nutshell, you establish yourself as a valuable point of information for people to go to. Whenever people go to you, seeking your information, they consider you as a form of advice. You become the expert. Now, lets say you have people that visit your website, and keep reading your content, they constantly re-visit when you post new content and finally you decide to inform them about a product that you offer and its benefits. What do you think the chances are of them listening to you compared to the person who calls them on the phone, who they know nothing about?

The reason why it works is because it is so simple. The more complicated you get in the life insurance industry, the more chance of failure you have. If you get too complicated with your client, and use technical terms then you lose the deal. The same concept applies with your marketing. If you get too complicated with it, you lose the chance to meet one on one.

Consider, because you're creating content on the Internet, which will probably outlive all of us. You can create valuable content once, on a particular topic, and not have to create it again! Unlike a face-to-face presentation which would have to be re-delivered each time, your education has been recorded, and can be reapplied. It frees up your time, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.

By applying what you have read in this article into your prospecting for life insurance leads, you will generate qualified life insurance leads that are willing to listen to what you have to say. Attraction marketing will help you save a ton of money by avoiding the route of purchasing expensive leads or using very expensive direct mail campaigns.

You have just learned why the Internet is quickly becoming one of the best tools for your marketing ventures.

Important Note: We are trying to make it as easy as possible for you to take your business to the next level. We know that writing articles, free reports and client newsletters is very time consuming. And, generally having someone do it for you can be very expensive. However, you will have access (at no additional cost) to all the articles, client newsletters, and free reports you need to consistently attract your IDEAL prospects to you, by becoming a member of the Insurance Marketing and Sales Resource Center!

KNOW Your Value.

“You want me to call up my previous clients, just to see how they’re doing?” my client Alicia asked me two weeks ago. She was astonished that I would suggest something so forward.

“Isn’t that unprofessional–or unethical?” she continued.

“Do you care how they’re doing?” I asked her.

“Well, of course I do,” came her reply.

“Why, then, would it be wrong to check up on them periodically?” I asked.

Alicia has been a coach for four years, helping young professionals with career transitions. She had consulted me because she wanted to grow her business. Her belief system was that she needed to maintain her professional distance, and her interpretation of what that meant included the idea that once a client had benefited from her services, she no longer had a reason to communicate with him or her on a personal level.

Alicia agreed to call four of her clients before our next session. She even agreed to ask them to tell her the value she brought to their careers and to their lives.

As soon as we connected on the phone again, Alicia couldn’t wait to tell me about her experience.

“First of all, they were grateful that I cared enough to follow up,” she began. “None of them thought, as I did last week, that my call was inappropriate.”

“That got me comfortable enough to ask them about the value they received from me,” she continued proudly, “And that’s what I’m really excited about.”

Alicia found out that she had given all of her clients confidence, focus, and someone to hold them accountable until they were on their feet again.

It reinforced for her all of her beliefs in what she was doing and got her excited about finding more clients. She was so excited, in fact, that she was now able to agree to the one thing she had been unable to bring herself to do the week before.

“I said to each of them, ‘Don’t keep me a secret,’ as you had suggested,” Alicia announced to me, “And right there on the phone, one of them told me about a friend she was going to talk to who she thought could use my help.”

Here’s what Alicia learned:

1) If you have former clients whose experiences with you were positive, stay in touch with them. An email or phone call at the right time could actually mean a lot to them.

2) Ask them about why they chose you and your firm, and what value they received from working with you.

3) Don’t be afraid to mention that you’re open to introductions to other people who may need your help. Simple statements like “Don’t keep me a secret,” or “I’m never too busy to help someone you care about,” can open the door to new clients.

Talk with current and past clients, ask how they’re doing, and keep REACHING…

10 Tips To Become More Productive
By Dennis Postema

The first part of 2016 is behind us, and it’s likely your New Year’s resolutions have been placed on the back burner. However, it’s important not to lose sight of your goals and how you will achieve them. If any of your resolutions were geared toward improving your business, use these 10 tips to help get yourself back on track and be more productive.

1. Plan your day in advance

This is my number one success tip for many reasons, but most importantly, it allows your subconscious mind to start optimizing exactly how to maximize your production the following day.

2. Eat the Frog

Always start with the big, profitable tasks first. Just 20 percent of what you do brings in 80 percent of your income.

3. Take short breaks

Work for 45–90 minutes, depending on your attention span, and then take a 5–15 minute break. When you start the next time slot, you will feel renewed and refreshed.

4. Spark your day

Some call this an hour of power, but regardless of its name, figure out what motivates you. Then, spend 15–60 minutes filling your mind with positive affirmations from a devotional, book, or video to spark your day.

5. Exercise

Boost your endorphins every chance you get. It will improve everything you do!

Tony Robbins Quote

6. Watch out for costly errands

What are the opportunity costs involved with running some of your errands (i.e., dry cleaning or even mowing your lawn)? They may be greater than you think, especially if they take away from you or your businesses production. Consider hiring an assistant or outsourcing the tasks.

7. Eat right

Garbage in = garbage out! What you put in your body affects your energy and thoughts in positive or negative ways, so make sure good nutrition is part of your plan.

8. Keep organized

Never head for home with a messy desk. Always clean it up before you leave so the next time you arrive at the office, you are organized and ready to tackle the day.

9. Track everything

As my father-in-law says, “What gets measured, gets done.” If you don’t track your personal production and your office’s production, you will never figure out what works and what doesn’t. More importantly, you will never know what is falling through the cracks.

10. Make a master “to do” and “not to do” list

A prioritized “to do” list is extremely important, but a list of things not to do may be even more important. You need to know what is impossible for you to do each day or what tasks should be delegated. Understanding the importance of “no” is imperative if it is not a true priority.

What is the most effective thing you do each day to be productive?
