Change Your Approach To Close More And Much Larger Insurance Sales!

Dear Friends, We meet many agents who want to believe they are great salesmen because they are closing sales with the people who already want insurance.  These agents are typically buying leads which gets them in front of the people who already realize they need life insurance.  Because of their salesmen approach, they feel the only way to increase their sales and income selling insurance… Is to find ways to increase their insurance sales leads. They think they are doing well because they are making decent money and are closing an insurance sale with almost everyone they meet with.  These agents aren’t doing anything wrong… they do help a lot of people!  However, they are hindering themselves, and are working much harder than necessary to increase their insurance sales!

What You Don't Know... Make More Income Selling Insurance... Change Your Sales Approach So You Close More And Larger Sales!

Consider this, there are only 2 ways to increase your sales and income selling insurance… cut expenses or increase commissions. There are three basic ways for you to increase your sales and income when selling insurance.

1. You can increase your commissions (income) selling insurance by closing larger insurance sales!

2. You can increase your commissions (income) selling insurance by closing more insurance sales.

3.  You can increase your income selling insurance by decreasing expenses… lowering your sales lead costs.

While doing any of these three things would be beneficial to you, the best plan would be to incorporate all three right now to increase your sales and income selling insurance!

Remember that agent who just uses the salesman approach?  The problem with their approach is that it does not scale well; because they are trying to increase their sales income in only one way, selling more insurance policies, which is the hardest way possible.  They are trying to sell more policies by buying more leads to get in front of more people.  This causes an increase in the expenditure of time and money.

How To Increase Your Sales And Income Selling Insurance!

Let me show you the math. If they buy leads for $50 each and they typically set an appointment with 25% of them, and close 50%… then that means for 5 sales, they must buy 40 leads which costs them $2,000. (40 leads turn into 10 appointments which turn into 5 sales.) If their average sale is $1,000, then they are making $5,000 for every $2,000 they spend ($3,000 net).  So, to double their sales they will need to double the leads and double the time.  However, the problem is they are limited by the number of leads they can buy.  So, if the leads dry out, they can no longer close more insurance sales. There is also only so much time in the week! So to increase their sales and income selling insurance they have to sacrifice the time they could be spending with their family.

But what if there was a better way to increase your sales and income when selling insurance?  What if instead of spending $2,000 on leads, they spend that money on marketing themselves and running educational workshops?  Now, instead of buying 40 leads that are shopping price and have health issues! They get 50-100 leads, from people who are more likely to buy from them.  Now, due to the higher quality of insurance prospects, they are setting appointments with 75% of them, closing 75% of them, and making an average insurance sale of $2,000.

Which Is The Better Way To Increase Your Sales And Income When Selling Insurance?

Let’s look at very conservative numbers to see which one is better.  Accordingly, let’s assume their 25% appointment ratio and 50% closing ratio do not change.  Then, let’s assume they only get 50 people, instead of 100! They would now have 13 appointments, which would result in 7 sales worth $14,000. So, with that same $2,000 budget, instead of making a net $3,000, they now make $12,000 (net).  Which way makes more sense to you?
