The choices are you making now, are actually career choices for your future! Choices you make now may affect you for the next ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, years, or longer. Good, bad, or mediocre choices are always before you. Often the bad or mediocre choices are promoted and encouraged upon you. Do you have the strength and good character, to resist the obvious bad choices? How are you now influencing your future? How are you helping guide your children or grandchildren with their choices? It is never too late to work on your character. Parents, when teaching a child, have to tell the child, over and over, to do or not do something. Humans of all ages need helpful guidance. Some humans require more help than others. Some choices can have serious life-long consequences that influence your potential and your productive results because they become your habits!

When I was in my 20s I was given a copy of Think And Grow Rich. I read this book and learned that you don’t have to be the best or brightest in order to win, you just have to do the right things! (Napoleon Hill called this, “Proper action.” He urged, “Take proper action!”)
From his book Think And Grow Rich, I also learned that a person can anchor in success habits!
I saw examples of conditioned reflexes in my life and in others all around me. Most of these conditioned reflexes in the people I knew, of any age, were devoted to pleasure, fun, and self-fulfillment such as having enjoyment or being entertained, seeking shortcuts in work, or other pursuits that were not especially productive.
I learned that all battles are first fought in people’s minds.

I read Napoleon Hill’s wonderful book Think And Grow Rich a second time and then realized that I could “lock in” certain desired behaviors. I learned to use the power of anchoring to enhance my performance. And I felt I was advantaged when I learned, upon this second reading, that what you focus on is what you will advance toward. What you focus on is what you will become.
I learned lots more. Little did I know that what I absorbed from the man named Napoleon Hill and his book Think And Grow Rich would stay with me during my lifetime! I became aware of mentally rehearsing or visualizing, always having a definite objective, a specific plan, a timetable, a mastermind team, and so on.
